House Mouse Mondays
I've been participating in House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge. Here is my current challenge. House mouse has become one of my favorite stamps to use. This one is called snowmouse. It was watercolored, stickles were added and mini pointsettias and sentiments from Spellbinders small die of the month club. The black frame around the image was created with strips of black cardstock by Recollections. The card it's self is from the Recollections White Christmas.

Christmas in Pink
This is a 5 x 5 arrow point sketch card that can be found here: SC823 This is the splitcoaststampers site with fabulous ideas. Their instructions are for a 6 x 6 card.
Here are my instructions for a 5 x 5 card. Start with a car stock that is 10" x 5", score at 5".
Open up your card and put a center pencil mark at 2 1/2 inches, this the center of the front of your card then measure down 2 1/2 inches on each side of the card and put a pencil mark. Now score with your scoring tool from the 1st corner to the center mark on each side, then score from the 2 1/2 inch mark to the center mark.
Now fold the long score to the inside and the short score to the the outside.
This is what mat 1 and 2 will look like. draw a line from mat 1 from the center pencil mark at 2 1/2 inches to the outer edge.
Mat one is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4, put a pencil mark in the center at 2 3/8 inches and draw a line on each side from the center mark to the outer corner edge of the card. Do this on each side.
Do the same for mat 2. put a pencil mark at the center which is 2 1/4 inches, cut both. I always draw my pencil lines on the back of the paper, make sure you have your paper fancing in the correct direction before marking or cutting from the backside.

From the Garden
This was a fun card to make. I stamped my image on 110lb card stock and fussy cut around the outer edges to create an open edge against the black. I stamped the sentiment in versamark and used white embossing powder which gave it a perfect effect. The challenge was to create a card in gray, white and black only.
